About Us

MPL Group of Companies has its roots from 1959 when Mr. Mohanlal Agarwal had established the 1st re-rolling mill in the state of Andhra Pradesh under the name M/s Mahavir Steel Rolling Mills. As time has progressed, the promoters have transformed the group from a humble company to a corporate group.

Since its inception the group has been ever-expanding and there is no looking back. Growing steadily from 1959 with a group turnover of Rs. 10 Lacs, the group registered a turnover of Rs 160 Cr in 2009. The group has recently signed a MoU with the Govt. of Karnataka for setting up a 1MTPA Integrated Steel Plant attracting an investment of Rs 3000 Cr.

MR. MOHANLAL AGARWAL (MANAGING DIRECTOR)    

Born to Late Shri Prahlad Raiji Agarwal and Late Smt. Kamla Deviji Agarwal on 1st March, 1939, Shri Mohanlalji Agarwal has been the lifeline and forerunner of the MPL® Group. The ethical and cultural values the group holds today are a mere reflectance of his personality. Every member of the MPL® family respects and admires him for the vision he had, and it is due to this that the MPL® family has gone places across the world. All credit goes to him for the heights the group has reached to!
     
He has over Five Decades of experience in the steel industry and in the process has gained vast experience in all the functions of business management. He has been managing the group successfully since its inception and has been able to maintain stability during all the cycles of the industry.

Our Sister Concerns

Mahavir Steel Rolling Mills, our sister concern, holds the distinction of being the first steel rolling mill in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Another sister concern, Sri Shiv Shakti Steel and Alloys is an integrated steel plant, manufacturing Sponge Iron to be used in its steel melting shop for producing high quality ingots/billets as per our specifications using iron ore as raw material.

Our high quality steel pipes are endowed with excellent dimensional accuracy, surface quality, smooth finish, exceptional concentricity and close tolerance on diameter/correct degree of angle for hollow sections and thickness. With its long hollow body, it is widely used for transportation of gases or liquids such as water, fuel, gas, steam, oil, etc. Our pipes are tested for highest standards of quality and to exact customer specifications.
